Deconstructed Sketch - Galatians 6:9

This is my second post of the day.  For the Play Date Cafe challenge, please scroll down one post.

Hello all!  I'm excited to try the Deconstructed Sketch for the first time.  My friend Andrea plays with them all the time, and I thought I'd give it a try.  I'm also combining it with the current City Crafter challenge called "Extra Extra!"  In honor of Leap Year, we are to use 9 or more words and 2 or more ribbons on the card.  With this stamp by Verve, I've definitely got the word-thing covered!

Aside from some black and vanilla cardstock, all of these patterned papers are from the Coral Couture Matstack from DCWV, which was 50% off at my local JoAnn store.  Yay!  (hey, didn't I say I wasn't going to buy more paper until I used what I had?? I am SO weak!)

Love this little twine bow --

These buttons are from my stash, covered in Crystal glitter (Martha Stewart).  I used a small paint brush to apply my glue to the buttons before glittering.  When they were dry, I sprayed them some hair spray so the glitter won't come off.

I really need this sentiment lately.  I won't go into details.  ;)

Thanks a bunch for joining me today.  I truly appreciate your visits.  :)

Stamps: Galatians 6:9 - Verve
Paper:  Coral Couture Matstack - DCWV; Basic Black, Very Vanilla - SU
Ink: Antique Linen Distress - Ranger; Versafine Onyx Black - Tsukineko
Fibers: twine - Creative Impressions; white lace - Simplicity

Coral is one of my favorite colors and your card is gorgeous. That is really an awesome verse with a super promise. Beautifully done, Collen.

Beautiful card based on a lovely sketch, Colleen! The lace and pearls compared to the buttons and twine provide a wonderful contrast!

Yeah, the black mat really makes it pop! Love it! The colors remind me of my wedding a long time ago. My mom actually picked the colors - I really think it was her wedding and not mine now that I think about it. Anyway, nice springy card!

How can you resist 50% off??? I have been really good with resisting myself and then I see you post something like this....thanks a lot, I want to walk no run to JoAnne's. I have so much paper though...I was just looking at my room today and I am like seriously, how can I ever use this in a lifetime and I make a lot of cards and projects! Most of it I could never use if I ever did find time to submit because it's not "current".

Anyway enough of the blah blah blah...your card is gorgeous and your signature pearls are a must. Now I get to where that is the first thing I look for on your cards! :-)

This is a beauty, Colleen! Your new paper pad really shines in this design. I can see why you bought it (especially at 50% off!)--the colors are so yummy. Great job with that sketch--it looks like it was tough, but you nailed it. :)

How beautiful Colleen! I LOVE these papers! I went to our Joann's last week and saw these too, but they only had the 12x12 pack or I would have caved! I wanted the card stock in 12x12 and the paper in smaller packs and they had the opposite. Nice to know they could have them soon. (I don't NEED and more paper either, but WANTING is another story! Those buttons are gorgeous!
Love the layers too!
